Remembering Cameron Boyce

  • Cameron Boyce

Cameron Boyce became on of the newest Disney sensations that tweens across the country could not get enough of with the launch of the series "Jessie" on the Disney Network. Cameron played Luke Ross one of a high profile couple's four children who were watched over by a Texan teen who moves to New York City to follow her dreams.

Well before "Jessie" and back in 2008 he made his TV debut in a music video of Panic At The Disco. He was also featured as a younger version of Ryan Ross’s character in That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed.) That same year Cameron made his feature film debut in the horror flick "Mirrors" and Later "Eagle Eye."

In 2009 he was also featured in a commercial for Burger King. The commercial was to advertise the kid’s meal toys promoting the Transformers movie Revenge Of The Fallen.

The year 2010 saw Cameron playing the part of the spoiled child of Adam Sandler in "Grown Ups." In 2010 he also made an appearance on a dance show called The Legion of Extraordinary Dancers. The next year he first appeared in a guest starring role on the TV show Good Luck Charlie, airing on the Disney channel as well. The same year he also played a small part in the movie Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer.

Fans may also recognize him from guest roles on 2011’s Shake It Up, and "Good Luck Charlie" both also airing on the Disney channel. It was in September of 2011 that he was cast to play the role of Jesse. The character of Jesse was first envisioned as being a Korean boy adopted by the family in the show, but when Cameron Boyce auditioned the producers fell in love with him for the role.

Cameron also was the voice of Jake and Chilly Zack for the animated series "Jake and the Never Land Pirates" while at the same time playing Luke on Jessie, he also managed to for a second time play Adam Sandler's son in the sequel "Grown Ups 2" (2013).

Cameron Boyce was taken suddenly and unexpectedly from this world, his loving family and friends on July 6, 2019, and the tender young age of 20 it has been reported that he died in his sleep from a seizure due to an undisclosed medical condition.
