When you mention Mara Wilson most that were kids at the time or have seen it in later years either via video or TV will remember her as the title character from Matilda the big screen adaptation of the much-loved Roald Dahl novel directed by Danny DeVito, or the earlier Mrs. Doubtfire. Well the title of this series whatever happened to does to apply as much to Mara who by all accounts seem to be doing well and quite happy with what she is doing since quitting acting after filming Thomas and the Magic Railroad which was released in the year 2000. Mara was indeed a successful child actor at the time, she was first spotted by most in the hit "Mrs. Doubtfire" which is a personal favorite of mine, she then went on to Miracle on 34th Street with some TV work between on the series "Melrose Place" as Nikki Petrova. She then went on to "Matilda" another film that I enjoyed and many today continue to enjoy its entertainment value by DVD or TV viewings. Mara then filmed A Simple Wish which has since been renamed to (The Fairygodmother) and again another highly enjoyable family film enjoyed by many. Three years later after "Thomas and the Magic Railroad" which failed at the box-office in the USA but had more success overseas. Mara Wilson in the short time has left a body of work that is still enjoyed today by many and her decision to walk away seemed to be her own as he decided to focus on school and enjoy her teenage years. It’s reported that in June 2005 she graduated from Idyllwild School of Music & Arts and went on to attend New York University. In 2008 she wrote and performed the one woman play, "Weren't You That Girl". Tit ran for three days and detailed her life and how others treated her because of her days as a child star. Mara lives the quiet life in NYC and Writes plays, fiction and non-fiction, and maintains a blog. Seems to be doing quite well thank you and any here that has not seen any of the mentioned titles then I recommend giving them a watch, especially “Matilda.” For a better explanation on why she quit acting, then hear it from Mara herself from this posting on her blog.   Mara Wilson in a more recent photo.

It is now day four since he had been bitten on the left arm by one of them, those unholy walking dead creatures. It is also now over three years since all things went to hell and the dead started to walk again and seek the flesh of humans. Four days ago they were set upon suddenly by two of them and in the fight he was bitten on the arm, he immediately thought it was the end of him and he almost put a bullet in his brain, he decided to wait, he did not get a fever and now four days later the bite has started to heal. The rest of the group still keeping a distance watches him suspiciously, still ready for anything. “look, it has been 4 days and I am not sick no fever, nothing, I am either immune or something has changed and mutated over the years.” The dead had also mutated from walking rotting flesh to now something that more closely resembles a demon, we call those mutated ones hybrids. They no longer are rotting flesh but seem to be a completely diff creature, something from one of the many horror films he used to watch when there was movies, electricity and a movie industry, but that is all gone. The group now had to shify there weariness from Michael because coming through the forest was that now familiar groan as a pack of the dead seem to be heading directly towards them……….. After four seasons and 101 episodes Disney Channel has made it official Jessie has ended production. There will still be plenty to see of the young leads as a yet-untitled spinoff will be toplined by original series’ stars Peyton List, Karan Brar and Skai Jackson who will reprise their roles as of Emma, Ravi and Zuri Ross, respectively. Meanwhile the popular Cameron Boyce will headline Disney XD’s new live-action comedy, “Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.” Looking back over the last four seasons Jessie has been bringing entertainment into the homes of Disney channel viewers. The show is full of antics and humor good for the entire family. The setting is in New York City where a small town girl, Debby Ryan who plays Jessie, comes from Texas to be the nanny of a high profile couple. The couple has 4 children who bring an array of personality into the mix. The oldest of the 4 children, Emma, played by Peyton List, is the only biological child of Ross family. The younger three are adopted from various areas of the world as well as from far different backgrounds. Luke Ross, who is played by Cameron Boyce, was born in Detroit. Ravi Ross, played by Karan Brar, was born in India and is the newest to the Ross family. Zuri Ross, played by Skai Jackson, is the families’ most sassy member adding lots of fun to the mix. The parents, Morgan and Christina Ross, make very few appearances throughout the series. Nanny Jessie and Butler Bertram end up being the primary caretakers of this exciting brood. You can often find Jessie lecturing the parents about spending more time with their children. She is a bit outspoken, which at first the family doesn’t care too much for. However, it grows on them and each new episode Jessie seems to bring the family closer together. You can also find the family chasing after Mrs. Kipling throughout most of the episodes; Mrs. Kipling is Ravi’s pet Asian water monitor lizard. From episode to episode, you watch Jessie and the family grow as new people. Jessie becomes more confident and able to handle city life, while offering a bit of country to those around here. Bringing in a bit of country allows the Ross family to slow down and really focus on what matters, which is each other. Jessie makes many mistakes along the way and their love for her keeps them from being too hard on her, and she gives the love right back. The best thing about the family is their love for one another. Even if they are busy cracking jokes on each other, or too busy to spend time with one another, when they are all together, it is as though they’ve never been apart. Part of their celebration as a family is celebrating “Gotcha Day.” This is the anniversary of each of the child’s adoption day. They celebrate it much like a birthday and the parents roll out the red carpet and retell their story of adoption each year. While things look like they may be a little crazy during each episode, there is always a lesson viewers can take away from it. With witty humor from both the adults and the children, all family members can relate to at least one of the characters in the show. Overall the show provides lessons, love and entertainment to all those who choose to watch the show.

It is a shame there have to be video games like GTA 5, while the game developers claim the game is aimed at adults they very well know that many kids will get this game into their hands. I have heard stories of kids as young as 11 years old being bought this game by their parents, what kind of irresponsible parent would place such a game in the hand of a child? It is bad enough the endless hours they spend playing violent war type games but then we get a GTA with the sex and drugs thrown in with the violence. In my own experience and I am a teen I saw in the mall a parent buying the game for a kid that looked no more than 11 years old and you could see his excitement of wanting to get home as fast as possible and get it in to his video game console. Look as a teen I freely admit to playing the war theme games but I can freely place a barrier between reality and fantasy but I have known many other games kids who are unable to and for this I say the gaming industry is very irresponsible with games such as GTA 5, but then again the real burden should be on parents who provide access to games like this.

To Cameron with love, I was stuck after just those four words so how was I going to send a full letter? Let me back up it was 4 Months before while at a shopping mall in the Los Angeles are I spotted a cute guy with a face full of freckles walking with a shopping bag from a quick shopping trip. I instantly recognized that it was Cameron Boyce who plays Luke on Disney’s Jessie, how could I not I have never missed a show and I am one of Cameron Boyce biggest fans. My heart pounded and I began to sweat as I looked around and saw that he was alone and shockingly no other teens were in the area so he was not spotted by anyone else. I froze in place, he saw me and a faint smile came across his lips as he recognized my discomfort. I willed my feet to move and mouth to speak as I stepped towards him and said “HI are you Cameron Boyce” I watch your show all the time I am a big fan. He said, “Oh thanks for watching it is fans like you that I really enjoy what I am doing,” Hey” he said “I have sometime would you like to go for a shake in the patio”? I could not believe what I was hearing and I almost mumbled the words as I accepted his invitation and went shaking with excitement as he ordered two shakes and we went to sit down. To be continued..........................                                                                                      Chapter 1 I was asking with excitement and was sure that I must be dreaming but I was not I was here having a milk shale with Cameron Boyce of Jessie fame and nobody around us seem to notice. “Thanks” I nervously said as he sat the shake down in front of me. “So, what is your fav episode of Jessie do you have one”, he said. “Well I really liked the episode when you guys combined with the cast of Good Luck Charlie” I managed to get out nervously. He seemed to sense my nervousness and laughed a little and told me how much fun they had doing that episode and how much fun the cast of both shows had. I sipped nervously at the shake through my straw looking for something to talk about but I simply couldn’t find the words. “So do you live here in L.A” Cameron said. "No I am on vacation here with my family and we are going back to Portland, Oregon in two days." We spend the best part of the next forty-five minutes talking about the movies he had made and about the rest of the cast of Jessie laughing as I had relaxed quite a bit as he really made me felt at ease with his friendly and outgoing manner. He finally said to me that he will have to be leaving but he really had fun as it was a relief to spend some time quietly without a lot of fans noticing and coming for photos and autographs. I wondered if this meant he liked me or was he speaking in general, I felt anger deep inside that I will soon have to leave and a voice in my head kept telling me ask him for his private email or cell, another more sensible voice said to me look do you seriously think he is going to give that 411 to you girl. Lol, you are so silly just enjoy this great luck you just had he will never see you or think of you after he leaves here. I can’t let this opportunity pass me by, he seemed to have a really genuine time relaxing here in the almost an hour we spent together. I tried to convince myself, that just because he is a famous teen star that doesn’t mean he can’t have a girlfriend that is just your ordinary everyday girl. He is about to leave I have to decide now or never and say the words, but wil I make a fool of myself?...............MORE TO COME.

Jacob Smith born January 21, 1990 in Monrovia, California is probably best known for his role of Jake Baker in the 20th Century Fox hit film “Cheaper by the Dozen” from 2003. The hit film shot Jacob to stardom and into the hearts of young girls. Smith now 23 as of January 2103 has not been seen since he shot the pilot for the proposed series “Secrets of a Small Town,” the show never got off the ground and Jacob Smith has not graced the screen big and small. A year earlier he played Jake Baker for the second time in the sequel Cheaper by the Dozen 2. Jake had a run of films starting with 1998’s “Nowhere to Go” and the fun “Small Soldiers” and also found time for episodic TV in series such as “Hyperion Bay,” “Step by Step,” “Walker, Texas Ranger” and a recurring role for 32 episodes of “Party of Five” as Owen Salinger among others. He also appeared on the TV films “Phantom of the Megaplex” and “Evolution Child.” Jacob film roles continued with “Hansel & Gretel” (2002) and “Dragonfly” (2002) and a year later took off with the role in Cheaper by the Dozen, this made him at that time one of the top child stars of the day. He followed that up in 2004 with “Troy” and a year later the sequel to Cheaper by the Dozen. Not much is known publicly about Jacob since he last appeared in a TV or film role but contrary to some reports Jake is alive and well and I supposed right where he wants to be. Cheaper by the Dozen, Troy and his guest spot on Without a Trace made Jacob Smith one of the top child stars from 2003 to 2006.

Actor Anton Yelchin has died at age 27 after a freak auto accident at his home, it seems that he was accidently pinned by his car after he exited it and it appears to have rolled back and pinned the young actor. Anton was a fan fav here in the early days of this fan site when he was starring in such films as the 2001 releases of “Along Came a Spider” as Dimitri Starodubov next to Morgan Freeman and alongside another giant in the field in Anthony Hopkins when he played Bobby Deerfield in the excellent “Hearts in Atlantis.” Born in Leningrad in the former Soviet Union, Yelchin and his family immigrated to the United States when he was just six months old. His parents were both star figure skaters. He began acting at an early age, starting his career off as a 9 year-old. The then child actor impressed critics and audiences with a series of prominent roles as in the mentioned films and more. Always admired this talented actor and grew up watching him and he was well on his way to the top, he will be seen next in the upcoming “Star Trek Beyond” where he has played the role of Chekov in the rebooted film series. Other completed films and in post-production includes “Rememory,” “We Don't Belong Here,” “Porto” and “Thoroughbred.” Sincerest condolences to Anton’s family and friends and we as fans are sadden by the loss of this talented young man.
