I remember the movie well from my childhood, not at movies but on video, it was quite the hit, I am over at Former Teen Stars more than here lately as I am a big fan of the retro stuff.

I just dropped a comment on a forum topic about this over at Former Teen Stars before I came here, good kids movies from the 80's, was very popular.

Should be in the collection of every kid, we had it and I watched it at about 9 it was simply marvelous, even kids today would like this.

My brother was crazy about this DVD when he was about 8 he would play it all the time, I never watched it seemed annoying to me, plus I hate sci-fi.

I have seen that movie on DVD when I was younger also, it was awesome, I watched it a lot when I was like 9 to 10 have not watched in a few years

This movie is from my dad's childhood, I saw it on DVD when I was younger and it was cool must have watched it a dozen times.

This movie has a lot of detractors but much more that have great memories and list it as a childhood favorite, from Disney studios this one from all accounts was a hit at original release and lived on through video where I discovered it as a kid.

I never heard of it but one day going to the public library where they had a program showing movies to kids on video I saw it I was about 9 and loved it.
