  I just watched again season one of The Strain, such a creepy show, I loved Ben Hyland as Zach, he was a cooler kid than what was played by the new actor.

  
  

  Since The Strain I wonder why we have not seen Ben in a movie or on TV at all? such a good actor and so good looking come on cast him.

  Yes I don;\'t think he has been in anything since season one of The Strain, why they removed him is tupid if you ask me and could possibly be having a bad effect on others hiring him.
  I don't know if this is true but it could be considering I heard he was repalced because they did not think he would be able to handle the changes Zach would go though in season 2 and on. If you ask me I hated how Zach was after season 2 and I think Ben was just fine in season one.

  Ben Hyland is awesome, The Strain is a cool show and he should have been on it right through.

  He was just fine in season one of The Strain, I did not like the move but that said his replacement played the role just like thay asked him to so don't know why people hated on him.

  Ben Hyland was just so sweet and talented in season one of The Strain, I was seething mad when in season 2 I found out he was replaced by Max Charles and I absolutely hated the character after that...not Max..the character. cx

  Ben Hyland was so good in The Starin" season one he was a nice likable kid, it made no sense what an idiot the character became after season 1, they changed out Ben they said because they thought he was too nice for how intense he would get after season 1. The problem is it made no sense that Zach would change so much that was stupid.

  What a cool show, the first season had me hooked, and later I started not liking it but the first 2 seasons for sure rocked.
