  I know most fans must know but I think it is so awesome he goes from playing Corey Stoll's son from "House of cards" to his son again for "The Strain."

  I think it is just chance, but I am sure some might get a role if they do look close to be the son of an actor or actress. You have to audition I would think in most cases so he won it I would guess.
