Ella Ballentine is a multi-talented Canadian teen dancer, singer, and actress who was born in Toronto, Ontario on July 18, 2001. Ella’s acting includes both film and a stage role, both independent and professionally such as Roundhouse Theatre’s “The Railway Children” (2010), Toronto Fringe festival’s “Numbers” which earned her a Young Artist Award Nomination for Best Performance in Live Theater - Young Actress. She landed the coveted role of Little Cossette/Young Éponine in Mirvish Productions “' Les Miserables” at the Princess of Wales Theatre. ( 2013-2014). For her role in this production she received Nominations from Broadway World Awards for Best Featured Actress in a Musical, Young Artist Awards for Best Performance in Live Theater - Young Actress and Dora Mavor Moore Award Outstanding Performance - Ensemble in a Musical.

On television, she appeared in the TV movies, “Baby's First Christmas” (2012), she followed this up playing Kate in the TV Movie Clara's Deadly Secret (2013) and later as Anne Shirley in Anne of Green Gables (2016). Also in 2016, she starred in the made for TV movie L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables: The Good Stars again playing Anne Shirley, she followed this up in 2017 with L.M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables: Fire & Dew.
Her episodic television roles started with the series regular role on “Time Tremors” as Medie Reno. She had guest spots on the series “Reign” (2014), “Saving Hope (2014), and "The Detail" (2018).

Ella’s feature films include “The Captive” and “The Calling” both from 2014 and four leading roles in a span of less than a year with “Standoff”,” “Against the Wild 2: Survive the Serengeti,” “Milton's Secret” and “The Monster” with Zoe Kazan. Ella for 2019 appeared in the feature Black Conflux and the following year in 2020 The Dark and the Wicked.

Along with her busy schedule, Ella still finds the time to champion causes related to wildlife conservation.
