Lorenzo Allchurch is a young actor of British-Italian origin, who was born in 2002, he is known for his role of Djata in the 2016 feature film “The White King” alongside Jonathan Pryce, Fiona Shaw, Greta Scacchi and Agyness Deyn. The film was selected for the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2016.

Lorenzo’s acting career started on stage in 2013 where he played Richard, Duke of York in Richard III at London’s Shakespeare Globe Theatre. He also was Young Garry Kasparov in the play “The Machine” which was staged at the Manchester International Festival (2013) before moving to the Park Avenue Armory in New York.

On film he started out with the short film “William” (2014) and a guest role in the BBC series “Atlantis” (2014). Lorenzo appeared in the fourth episode of season two “The Marriage of True Minds” as Nicias. He then went on to star in his first feature film role in "The White King" (2016).

In the film he is Djata a care-free 12-year-old growing up in a brutal dictatorship, after the government imprisons his father, he is labeled a traitor along with his mother and begins a relentless quest to see his father again.
