Marsai Martin is an America teen actress who was born in Plano, Texas on August 14, 2004. Marsai was born to be an actress and was quickly signed by Kim Dawson agency in Dallas at the age of 5 and quickly landed a national commercial.

After relocating to Los Angeles in 2013 and quickly landed another nation commercial with Meineke, this was not to be the end as she found herself cast in a network comedy series playing the sassy eldest twin Diane Johnson on the ABC hit comedy "Black-ish."

Marsai’s work on this series has landed her several awards and nominations including NAACP Image Award, BET Award and The Young Artist Award in 2016 for Best Performance in a TV Series - Supporting Young Actress, the cast were also nominated for the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series (2017).

In addition to Black-ish she has had several voice acting roles on series such as “The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show” (2016), “Elena of Avalor” (2016) and recurring as the voice of Jill on “Goldie and Bear” (2015-16). Marsai also appeared on the biopic “Nina” (2016), the features “An American Girl Story - Melody 1963: Love Has to Win” (2016), “Fun Mum Dinner” (2017) and the short film “Lemonade Mafia” (2017).

The talented young actress will also be playing the lead in an upcoming film titled "Little," she also came up with the script idea and will be taking on the role of executive producer. The Hollywood Reporter announced that the film "centers on a woman who gets the chance to relive the carefree life as her younger self (Martin), when the pressures of adulthood become too much." 

When not acting, she loves singing, dancing, writing and directing her own movies and videos.
