Skylan Brooks is an American teen actor born on February 12, 1999, in Torrance, California, the USA he started acting in 2008 with credits in the short films "The Van Pelt Family" and "Who's Boo?" And an uncredited bit as a choir Kid in Seven Pounds and slid into a guest role on iCarly the following year.

Skylan the following years appeared in mostly short films with a guest spot on "Childrens Hospital" during 2011 and this led to a string of roles in features such as "A Beautiful Soul" (2012), "Noobz," (2012) and "General Education" as Charles. Where young Skylan really shines is in his role in the 2013 film, The Inevitable Defeat of Mister and Pete where he played Mister a boy who was left on his own by his mother and is trying to make it in the city with his friend Pete played by Ethan Dizon who also shines.

The young teen actor shares the screen with notable actors such as Jeffrey Wright, Anthony Mackie, Jordin Sparks, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Jennifer Hudson.

Skylan with numerous short films to his credit will continue to build his feature resume with roles as Thomas in Oliver, Stoned. (2014) and as Hoppy in the film "Southpaw"  (2015) as Thomas in "Crown Heights" (2017) and as Chubs in  The Darkest Minds (2018). Skylan is also expected to play Luke in Emmett and is working on A Night Worth Living.

On television, Skylan played Ra-Ra on the series "The Get Down" (2016) and made guest appearances on Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.he also nabbed the role as Quincy in 2018 on the series "Empire."
