Canadian teen actor Christian Martyn plays Billy Andrews a kid who seems to enjoy making life difficult for Anne on the Netflix hit Anne With an E. We were able to have a Q & A session with the young actor, read on for the results.

Christian has been acting since the age of 8 and has starred in many feature films with the likes of Ray Liotta, Christopher Lloyd (Snowmen), Malcolm MacDowell (Home Alone: The Holiday Heist), Brendan Fraser (Breakout), Billy Baldwin (Be My Valentine), Rob Lowe (Too Late to Say Goodbye) and Scott Speedman (Edwin Boyd: Citizen Gangster), just to name a few.

We got Christian to take some time out from his busy schedule to answer some questions about the show and his personal faves. Check it out!

TSO: What is your favorite sport to watch and to play if different?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Favorite sport to watch is football, to play is surfing and snowboarding.

TSO: What is your all time fav Movie?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I don't have a favorite movie, but I really liked The Departed.

TSO: What TV show you never miss?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I never miss watching Game of Thrones or Westworld.

TSO: Of all the roles you have played in the past, which is your favorite and why?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I don't have a favorite role, as they've all been pretty similar.  I enjoy the specific moments and just love to be on set no matter the role.

TSO: Your role of Billy on Anne is a lot different than roles you have played so far being that of a bully so how did you prepare for it?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Billy is still a typical teenager, and in all of my roles I've been a pretty typical kid, so no real difference in preparation.  I do make a point of apologizing a lot to the people I have to be mean to on set, lol.

TSO: Do you have any pets?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I have cats, but I really want a dog.

TSO: In photos, we have seen it appears that the young cast of Anne all get along very well on the set how much fun is it filming?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Yes, we all get along on Anne, but I'm the oldest of the kids.  Some of the kids are 5 years younger than me, so the age difference is often noticeable.  But we spend a lot of time together and make a lot of jokes, and it's definitely more fun to have a lot of young people around on set with me.  I've filmed on sets where I'm the only kid, so that can sometimes be boring since there's a lot of hanging around and waiting.

TSO: What is your most prized possession?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: My most prized possession are my memories.

TSO: What do you like to do in your spare time?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: In my spare time, I go to the gym and like to watch YouTube videos.  With football, homework, acting and my job at The Keg, I don't have a lot of spare time!

TSO: What place in the world you really want to visit?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I want to travel everywhere, but I really love the mountains and want to see Alaska, especially the Aurora Borealis.  But I want to travel with someone who's worth traveling with.

TSO: What is your dream car?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: My dream car is a Nissan GTR

TSO: People would be surprised that I am …………?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: People would be surprised that I'm a gym rat (and that I have my black belt in karate).

TSO: Must song on your device playlist?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Two must-have songs: Idfc by blackbear and Jocelyn Flores by XXXTENTACION.

TSO: You have played a variety of roles so far in your young career, what kind of roles do you prefer?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I prefer roles that are unique and interesting, not where I'm just a typical kid.

TSO: Which of your characters so far was the toughest for you to change into?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: No particular role.  It's hard to feel another person's emotion, so anything emotional is the most difficult in any role.

TSO: What do you enjoy most about being an actor?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I love the psychology behind understanding another person's emotion, and why their character is the way he is.  I love that acting makes me think about this.

TSO: We know the good thing that comes with being a teen actor what is the toughest?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: The toughest part of acting is all of the time constraints and other things that I'm not able to do as a result.

TSO: What role would you love to play/ be your dream role?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: I would love to play either an insane person or a comic.

TSO: You always look so great how do you stay in shape...what’s your secret?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: As I mentioned, I'm a gym rat, plus a healthy eating fanatic.  A lot of the YouTube videos I listen to are about healthy eating and fitness.  I go through periods in my diet and gym routine where I'm bulking (through the winter) and where I’m' cutting (in the spring).  I also use a few supplements, but they're all legal, lol!

TSO: Do you have a fav charity?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: We foster pregnant cats/cats and kittens with a charity called Ninth Life Cat Rescue, and have been volunteering with them for over 8 years. We also sponsor a child through World Vision, and I have done a lot of personal fundraising for World Vision.

TSO: What advice would you give to a child or teen looking to get into acting?

CHRISTIAN MARTYN: Make sure acting is what you REALLY want to do.  It's not as glamorous as you think it's going to be, and it's very long hours.
