  Child's Play looks good from the trailer and I love Chucky movies, the first scared me to death when I watched the video at about 9 lol.

  @Jayden, bruh it is not really a doll like Ken or Barbie more like a high tech robot, almost like an Alexa that walks around, I do agree the idea of getting it as a best friend is lame AF.

  I would not give this more than a 2 using the IMDB rating system, this is kind of a pointless remake or reimagining whatever you want o call it. This could not hold a candle to the original, I find in this version Chucky is neither menacingly evil and funny as the original.
  
  The group of kids it seems they are trying to project a Stranger Things vibe and it does not work, I find these kids boring and not convincing at all, Gabriel Bateman I have seen done good work this is not one.
  The film also uses gore only for shock effect and for many in the audience that makes sit a good movie alone.  Enough of the Chucky movies and this one is a big swing and a miss, a poor effort all around.

  A Horrible film, get the DVD of the first and watch that instead, that Chucky had personality, the movie was better in every department. This film had some cringe-worthy dialogue, unlikable kids with poor acting skills. I like Gabriel Bateman but I guess you can't blame him with the lame dialogue they stuck him with.
  
  The movie was an excuse for gore, the fact that it has so many 10 star ratings on IMDB is a sad testimony to the majority of today's moviegoers, some gory kills let some fake blood fly and they rate it a 10. Who were these kids suppose to be? they were no Stranger Things gang that is for sure the girl a toughie that backs down the guys, please that was as about beliavle as any of the other crap they threw at you in this turkey.

  @FilmGuy @JeffJones, wow you guys really thrashed Child's Play and Gabriel Bateman and anyone in the movie or had anything to do with it's making I see, well thanks for dropping by all opinions accepted but I thought it was awesome.

  @FilmGuy and @JeffJones you dudes totally trashed Child's Play, but I agree I saw the old one on DVD it is way scarier, funnier and a better movie completely but I still liked this new one.

  My honest review was Child's Play sucked, the old one is like 100 times better, this Chucky looked more like a Raggedy Andy doll not menacing at all like the original, not scary just bloody waste of time for those who like gross kills. Also, the kids in this movie are annoying AF and can't act they couldn't play the Tree in a kindergarten school play.

  A tired version of a tired franchise that is now 8 deep and should not have been past 2, this movie tried to be funny and it is not, tries to be scary and it is not unless you get off on jump scares, loud noises and fast-cut editing. The movie is made for gore and for trying to make the most gruesome kills, the movie should not have been made the kids' inclusion tries to be a kind of Stranger Thing but falls flat these kids are unlikable and the acting was poor, the directing is poor the movie is poor.
