It might seem that way but a hardware teardown of the PS4 by a research firm IHS revealed that it cost $318 to make and when you see it retails most places for $399 that is a very small diff.
The cost of these Arcade1Up machines is NOSTALGIA these are not expected to be sold to kids who prefer there PS4 XBox etc.

People keep saying they are 400 bucks I see them in my Walmart for 300, $299.00 to be exact they look pretty cool and are about 4 ft tall. Check out this one here for Rampage in the link below.
