It is out, released yesterday May 14, 2019, and I can't wait to get my hands on it, the game is rated I think 16 years and up but I know many of us will still play unless parents put their foot down.
I have seen and read a lot of the game there is brutal violence but mostly from the army of rats who will pounce on anything and strip it o the bone dudes with blood just flying, there is not much cursing.
The characters will come to towns etc where people are dead with parts like just everywhere kinda gruesome but something is seen in many movies so I don't know why they try to rate these. 
There are soldiers that are totally lit with bottles of booze all over the place (HO HUM) so I think most kids with an even head on their soldiers are ok to play this, if you are a kind of messed up kid with no grip on reality well maybe give it a pass.
Most peeps waiting for this know it is about Amicia de Rune, a 15-year-old noblewoman, and her five-year-old brother Hugo, two orphans that are trying to survive against seemingly impossible odds. Hordes of rats have swarmed the land, eating virtually everything they come into contact within seconds. A mysterious disease has also struck much of the country, killing peasant and noble alike. Game is set in France during the middle ages during the year 13 something can't remember but during the Hundred Years War.
You are too young, I mean even though it is 18 14 and up should be ok to play it, I saw a guy playing in the Game Stop it is a wicked game, those rats are deadly.
