Fortnite season 8 has brought with it treasure maps, volcanoes and other secrets yet to be discovered, and as part of that spirit of exploration, a challenge this week has you traveling to the furthest corners of the map. Well, not “corners” exactly, but the furthest north, south, east and west points of the map, which are locations you would not normally just stumble upon by accident.

Go here to see all season 8, week 2 challenges. Go here to see where to do damage in a cannon.

The most western part of the island can be seen if you draw a line down the map. Doing so will take you to an area at the edge of Snobby Shores, because even if the iceberg showed up with a bunch of ice to tack onto the bottom of the map, it did not produce any points that extend further west than Snobby:

Here’s where you’re going from the air. My wing is blocking it, but you want to go behind the second house from the bottom, which is the exact point you’ll be looking for:

Here’s what that looks like on the map itself. Like two of the other areas, there is a little dirt path leading up to the final area.

Once you get there, there is a sign that will inform you that yes, you are indeed in the right spot, the exact point of the map that is the furthest west. At least for now until the lava flow starts reshaping the island, which I can easily see happening over the course of this season. In the distance, you can see lights on another island. Who lives there, I wonder?

After you’re done visiting, the logical thing to do would be to loot Snobby Snores and then trying to finish the game normally. I will say, however, that if there were any two locations of this challenge that could be done in one match, it would be the west and north points, given that the northern point is pretty far over to the west near Junk Junction. So you could go for it if you want.

As for the other points, here are some more guides for all the rest if you haven’t done them yet. I don’t know what order you’ve decided to run these:

This was the last part of the challenge for me, so I’m done now and am going to have to start doing some of the actual combat challenges now that I’m done exploring. See you out there. If you’re at one of these signs hanging out, I will try not to kill you.
