I agree the weirdo killer was so one dimensional there was no back story to who and why at all.

The best thing about "Desolation" is Toby Nichols acting and the scenery as I love movies shot in the woods. The creep who wears sunglasses at night nothing is told about who he is and why he is doing this as others have said.

Short, weird but still watched to the end, like why was the nut with sunglasses at night doing what he was doing and who is he? nothing explained at all just some psycho in the woods.

The story is crap but the acting is good and you have to keep watching just to see what happens, also I liked movies shot in the wild.

I love Toby Nichols and he did an awesome job even though the movie did not make much sense.

I wonder who and why was the maniac doing what he was doing that was never explained. So they have random people in the woods in America who like to harass and murder innocent adventurers?
