Eden Sanaa Duncan-Smith was born on October 28, 1999, in Brooklyn, NY she made her Broadway debut in 2010's Tony Award-winning cast of "Fences" along with Denzel Washington and Viola Davis. Her next Broadway role as Young Nala in Disney's Lion King. Eden was nominated for Young Artist Awards for both shows winning Best Live Theater Actress for Fences.

Other drama awards won for these roles were the Delta Sigma Theta Emerging Artist Award and the Audelco Rising Star Award. In 2012, she lent her talents to Equality Now speaking out against non-consensual child-marriage. Hollywood director and writer, Joss Whedon wrote her piece and doted, "Eden has extraordinary integrity as a kid actor."
Eden is a girl destined to change the world with her voice, talents, and heart! She defies stereotypes of what roles young starlets should take and as a proud member of the Project Girl Performance Collective, stretches the definition of girl power. From the Fringe Festival to Estro-Genius Festival, she uses art to draw attention to issues that matter to her. This is also why in 2011, she was honored by BET and Black Girl’s Rock as a M.A.D. Girl (A girl making a difference) for her work with her non-profit, Angel In The S.K.Y.E. Network. As a dancer, she has studied at Dance Theatre of Harlem, the American Ballet Theatre, and Purelements: Evolution in Dance.

Eden has appeared on the web series "The Joey & Elise Show" (2012) the short film "Double Crossed" and on the big screen, she plays "Isabella" in Annie (2014) next to Jamie Foxx and Quvenzhané Wallis. She will also play Alma in the feature Meadowland (2015).

At 5’ 1, she stands firm and tall as a powerhouse. This award-winning starlet has two Broadway shows to her credit, several commercials, and two indie films about to film this year. A triple threat ( yes she can sing, dance and act), this bubbly teen is a featured journalist for Miss Expo sponsor Tween Girl Style Magazine and a H2O Ambassador for the WAT-AAH beverage company. Her goal for the future is to take over the world but for today... simply to rock the house!
