Actor Anton Yelchin has died at age 27 after a freak auto accident at his home, it seems that he was accidently pinned by his car after he exited it and it appears to have rolled back and pinned the young actor. Anton was a fan fav here in the early days of this fan site when he was starring in such films as the 2001 releases of “Along Came a Spider” as Dimitri Starodubov next to Morgan Freeman and alongside another giant in the field in Anthony Hopkins when he played Bobby Deerfield in the excellent “Hearts in Atlantis.” Born in Leningrad in the former Soviet Union, Yelchin and his family immigrated to the United States when he was just six months old. His parents were both star figure skaters. He began acting at an early age, starting his career off as a 9 year-old. The then child actor impressed critics and audiences with a series of prominent roles as in the mentioned films and more. Always admired this talented actor and grew up watching him and he was well on his way to the top, he will be seen next in the upcoming “Star Trek Beyond” where he has played the role of Chekov in the rebooted film series. Other completed films and in post-production includes “Rememory,” “We Don't Belong Here,” “Porto” and “Thoroughbred.” Sincerest condolences to Anton’s family and friends and we as fans are sadden by the loss of this talented young man.

This look back at some former teen stars featured on Teen Stars Online looks at Khleo Thomas who instantly grabbed the attention of pre-teen and teen girls in 2003 with the release of Disney’s “Holes” where he played the role of Zero. The role made him an instant fan favorite and catapulted him in to other roles through the 2000’s and into a recording career as a Hip hop, Contemporary R&B artist. Before “Holes” the little known actor had appeared on and episode of Bill Cosby's "Kids Say the Darndest Things" and guest roles on the series “Family Law” and “City Guys” and a small role in the 2002 film “Friday After Next.” Then came “Holes” adapted from Louis Sachar's Holes of the same name and that changed things. Thomas was born in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of an army officer who at the time was stationed in Alaska. His mother is a Jewish immigrant from Morocco and his father is African-American Khleo lived in Germany with the family returning to the United States when he was four. Looking back to the days when this site was still going and there was no other sites that really featured young stars and with a Khleo website and a forum the young fans came by the thousands and lifted the forum on Delphi at that time to number two on the entire system and that was not an easy feat. After “Holes” he landed a role in the film “Baadasssss!” Later that same year and was followed up by a guest spot on the series “E.R”, the TV movie “Going to the Mat: and the feature film remake “Walking Tall.” The next year his fame continued with roles in the film “Roll Bounce,” “Dirty” and the series such as “The Bernie Mac Show.” His recording career stemmed from the film Holes and the song “Dig It” which garnered some popularity in the music field. Things took off after he became associated with Bow Wow and his LBW label; he also became associated with Soulja Boy's label SODMG Entertainment. Khleo’s recording career continues to this day kicking off in 2010 with his debut mixtape The World Is a Cartoon it had over 100,000 downloads. He is currently working on his debut album Just a Sample which will be released sometime in 2014. He continues his acting with recent roles in “Boogie Town” (2012) the series “Bones” (2013) and the expected 2014 or 2015 film “Victor.” Retro Khleo Gallery

Seeing the photo posted from some years back of an autographed photo sent by actor Hunter Gomez to Teen Stars Online has prompted my first look back of graduated stars form the site to focus on him. Hunter started his acting career in 2003 and had the pleasure of working with established actors such as Nicholas Cage, Voight, James Belushi, Christopher Plummer and many others. One year after starting his career he landed the role of young Nicholas cage in Disney’s “National Treasure” and things started to flow from there. He made numerous appearances on TV including episodes of “According to Jim”, “Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide”, “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” and “Ghost Whisperer.” He has also voiced several characters on “Family Guy.” He also played Joey Sorrento on “Proper Manors” which earned him nominations for two 2013 Filmed in Utah Awards for Best Actor and also part of the Best Ensemble Award and again in 2014 for Best Actor. His other film roles after National Treasure included “A Merry Little Christmas” (2006), “Middle Men” (2009), “Just the Vampire Hunter” (2011), “Last Ounce of Courage” (2012) and for 2014, “Walt Before Mickey” and “Coach of the Year.” Hunter is and always has been very active in charitable events and in 2006 started a charity food drive with his siblings and put up $5,000 of his own as a thank you to the groups that brought in the most cans. Politically Hunter in a press conference at the Capitol spoke about the film industry in hopes of getting a bill to offer incentives to film makers; he was joined at the conference by Rick Schroeder. The talented Gomez has also dipped his feet in the producing well as co-producer of six episodes of Proper Manor, associate producer of “Just the Vampire Hunter” and producer of the documentary “Hellp.” Official Site Recent Hunter Gomez Photo.

Our look back today at former Teen Stars Online stars takes us to Freddie Boath who is primarily remembered by North American audiences for his role of Alex in the 2001 film The Mummy Returns. Freddie was born on the 6 May 1991, in London, England. Freddie was a huge fan of the first film The Mummy (1999) which at that time he had claimed to have seen a whopping 58 times. His only experience before auditioning for The Mummy Returns had been lip-synching the John Travolta role in a class production of Grease. He had a previous audition setup for a part in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (2001) but scuttled those plans to audition for the role of Alex in The Mummy Returns. The audition paid off as he snagged the role to play adventure-loving Alex over hundreds of other hopefuls. His fearless personality convinced Stephen Sommers that he was right for the part after only a few meetings, and the film's cast and crew agreed that he is much like the brave, action-minded Alex in real life. The son of a banker father and producer mother, he attends a Catholic boys' school in London. Although he has taken weekly drama classes for several years with his older brother Jack and his little sister he had zero acting experience. The film was a big hit when released and was certainly a great popcorn action flick and it seemed a Freddie was destined to child stardom but disappeared from the scene for seven years showing up again in 2008 in the British series The Children playing Jack for three episodes. All his following work has been on TV in the UK with appearances in series such as The Bill (2009), Doctors (2010), The Pillars of the Earth for eight episodes and more recently House of Anubis as Benji Reed.

That is a look at actor Liam Aiken who from his first acting job in a Ford Windstar commercial was born to be an actor, did you know Liam tried out for the role of Harry Potter and lost out to Daniel Radcliffe? Also he turned down the role in “The Sixth Sense” which then shot Haley Joel Osment to stardom.

  • In this entry we look back at former child and teen star Liam Aiken and his time as a fan favorite here at teen stars online. Liam was born January 7th, 1990, in New York City, and by age 10 was a seasoned pro with a major Broadway credit (A Doll's House) and marked his fifth film role with "I Dreamed of Africa." He co-starred in Columbia Pictures' hit "Stepmom," playing the son of Susan Sarandon and Ed Harris and Julia Roberts' stepson. In 1998, he acted in "The Object of My Affection," starring Jennifer Aniston & Paul Rudd as the latter's pupil; and as Parker Posey's son in "Henry Fool." He also appears in two films unveiled at the Sundance Film Festival, "I Remember" and "Montana." The next few years saw Liam explode in popularity by appearing in such films as "Sweet November" (2001), "The Rising Place" and "Road to Perdition." He then shot to teen stardom with roles in "Good Boy!" (2003) and hit the top with "Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events" in 2004 which also starred funnyman Jim Carey and Emily Browning. After a two year hiatus he returned in "Fay Grim" a ten-years-later continuation of director’s Hal Hartley's "Henry Fool." This ended Liam’s run as a top teen stars and he took a four year break from films. Jacob Smith born January 21, 1990 in Monrovia, California is probably best known for his role of Jake Baker in the 20th Century Fox hit film “Cheaper by the Dozen” from 2003. The hit film shot Jacob to stardom and into the hearts of young girls. Smith now 23 as of January 2103 has not been seen since he shot the pilot for the proposed series “Secrets of a Small Town,” the show never got off the ground and Jacob Smith has not graced the screen big and small. A year earlier he played Jake Baker for the second time in the sequel Cheaper by the Dozen 2. Jake had a run of films starting with 1998’s “Nowhere to Go” and the fun “Small Soldiers” and also found time for episodic TV in series such as “Hyperion Bay,” “Step by Step,” “Walker, Texas Ranger” and a recurring role for 32 episodes of “Party of Five” as Owen Salinger among others. He also appeared on the TV films “Phantom of the Megaplex” and “Evolution Child.” Jacob film roles continued with “Hansel & Gretel” (2002) and “Dragonfly” (2002) and a year later took off with the role in Cheaper by the Dozen, this made him at that time one of the top child stars of the day. He followed that up in 2004 with “Troy” and a year later the sequel to Cheaper by the Dozen. Not much is known publicly about Jacob since he last appeared in a TV or film role but contrary to some reports Jake is alive and well and I supposed right where he wants to be. Cheaper by the Dozen, Troy and his guest spot on Without a Trace made Jacob Smith one of the top child stars from 2003 to 2006.
