    • I am sure with award shows the best is not always the winner, look how many snubs at this years Oscars with no nominations.

Interesting that with all the awards shows Stranger Things and the kids have been nominated for, they didn't get a single nomination for Nick's KCA's. Of all award shows! I'll never understand awards shows. I like the Oscars, SAGs and GGs and all, but I'm still left confused after all these years.

As I predicted for this Young Artist Awards all the Stranger Things kids are nominated, however only Millie Bobby Brown and Noah Schnapp are in categories they are not up against cast mates.

Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, and Finn Wolfhard are all up against each other so only one can win, I say it will be Finn Wolfhard.

      Jared Breeze should win this.

    • Are you looking at last year's list? Because Jared was nominated for The Young And The Restless. I didn't inspect the whole list but I believe TSO has a lot of nominee this year.
I don't like how they don't have International nominations. Also I was hoping to see Art Parkinson nominated for Voice-Over.

I find it hard to be too critical of it, the young performers look forward to it and deserve the recognition. It could ad a little more fan-fare and the press could pay more attention but I like it for the young celebs.
This year the list of as we say Teen Stars Online listed stars is quite small just this
Leading Young Actor, 11–13, in a Feature Film: Steele Stebbins in Vacation

Leading Young Actor, 10 and under, in a Feature Film: Jared Breeze in The Boy

Guest Starring Young Actor, 14–21, in a TV Series: Christian Hutcherson in Survivor’s Remorse

If I miss any post it I kind of skimmed a croos the nominations, I would think Jared Breeze is a lock.

Such a poorly run award ceremony, the young actors deserve better.....no fan-fare no TV no big announcements..a big joke but still I am sure the kids appreciate it so yes.

    • It is important for these young actors who deserve the recognition, sure it could use some sprucing up but it serves a good purpose.

    • The nominees for the Young Artist Awards have been announced. The list is here: http://www.youngartistawards.org/nominees

Some of you may be happy to see the nominations here. Some of you may be tempted to shout out 'snub' in other areas. I know I'm tempted to shout out the snub of Art Parkinson for the Animated Voice category. Remember the Awards gradually list nominees and categories over time. I noticed there were no International categories added yet so hang tight.

    • Eye opening true story and the young Mark Rendall did give a very believable performance. Have not seen that movie in a few years.

    • Dont know him or the movie this must be real old.

    • November 25, 2015 10:56 PM EST
    • I actually do remeber him but forgot about him the last few years. I remember when he was listed on the site back in his child/teen stars days I remeber the film. A very good TV movie based on a true incident and he did give a good performance.
The last I remeber seeing him was in the Vampire flick "30 Days of Night" a few years ago he was maybe 19 or 20 then I would guess.

    • Ah yes, The Interrogation of Michael Crowe one night a few years back and late at night I came across this on Court TV.
I had never heard of the case and was shocked to discover it was a true incident, I was just furious even watching it how grown detectives brow beat and bullied a boy. Sadly that is how a lot of the police operate not just here but worldwide.
I digress, back to the movie the performance of the kid was very good, I knew nothing of him at that time but he was very believable and that is important in acting.
It is a movie I recommend also.

    • I have not sen this movie and I would like to but I have seen Mark rendall in "Childstar" and when he was older in the coolest Vampire movie ever "30 Days of Night" that movie rocks.

    • Wow and a true story, I would like to see it.

    • Why are you doing this to me….was tearfully asked by 14 year old Michael Crowe portrayed brilliantly by Toronto born teen actor Mark Rendall in the bleak true like TV drama The Interrogation of Michael Crowe.

The film covers the real life crime where 12-year-old Stephanie Crowe is brutally murdered at her home in Escondido, California; the police foolishly jump to conclusions that her 14-year-old brother Michael must be responsible.

They separate the family and over two days with no parent or lawyer present brow beat and lied to the child forcing a confession out of him. The film is scary as it show the power of the police and what injustice that can be dished out from their hands.

The best reason to see this film is for the brilliant performance by then 14 year old teen actor Mark Rendall. As it is we recommend this film to show case another brilliant Teen Star performance.

Go see if you can The Interrogation of Michael Crowe.

    • On the nominations I was told a few years ago that the actor or someone must send in a clip representing what they would like to be nominated for. I am not sure if it is still done that way.

    • Good for all the young artist, they are vital to the industry for movies and TV roles and sometimes they are not appreciated enough.

This is a nice reward for them to be nominated firstly and then if they eventually take the trophy home. I don't know about selection of winners but I wonder about the nomination process because I have seen many great roles by kids/teens go without a nomination.
