Percy Hynes White is a talented Canadian teen actor who was born on October 8, 2001, in St. John's, Newfoundland, and Labrador. Percy was born into a showbiz family being the son of actor/writer Joel Thomas Hynes and writer/producer Sherry White. He improved his natural ability with a couple of years of theater school in his hometown of St. John’s.

Percy started acting at the age of five and has not stopped since; his first role was in the film “Down to the Dirt” (2008) which stars his father Joel Hynes White and based on his first novel of the same name. Paired frequently with his dad the following year he had a role in the film “Crackie” (2009).

He appeared in the short films “Forty-Five & Five” (2011) and “Winners” (2012) before returning to feature films with “The Grand Seduction” (2013). He followed this up with the lead in “Cast No Shadow” (2014) where he was nothing short of exceptional in a role that had him on the screen constantly. His performance earned him the best male actor at the Atlantic Canadian Award and rising actor at the Edmonton Film Festival. The same year he appeared on screen with Robin Williams in “Night at the Museum 3.”

Other feature film roles include “A Christmas Horror Story” (2015), “Rupture” (2016), “Edge of Winter” along with Tom Holland and his dad Joel. The same year he has to his credit “Milton’s Secret” and “First Round Down.” He also has to his credit the features “Our House” and “Age of Summer ” (2018) where he plays Minnesota.

His television roles include guest roles on “The Slattery Street Crockers” (2013), “Rookie Blue” (2014), “Old Squad” (2015), “Defiance” (2015), “Saving Hope” (2015), and the mini-series “11.22.63” (2016). He also had recurring roles on “Murdoch Mysteries” as Simon Brooks (2014-15) and “Between” (2015-16). For 2019 he was a guest star on"The Twilight Zone" and will play Joshua in the made for TV movie A Family's Nightmare he will also be David Selby on the new series Them: Covenant.


He also appeared on Fox's "The Gifted" where he played the role of Andy, a sensitive kid, and a loner, who likes to keep to himself to avoid the turmoil he faces in his school and home life.
